Rules

Time Limit
 

All tournament games in pool play and playoffs will have a time limit. Championship game will not. The time limits are as follows:
 

1 hour and 45 mins for pool play
 

2 hours for playoffs
 

No new inning can start after the time limit. If a new inning has started prior to the time limit, then that inning will finish. If the home team is winning after the top half of inning and the time limit occurs, the game is over. If both teams are tied at the end of regulation, and the Time Limit has not expired, proceed to extra innings. If games are tied after the Time Limit expires, they will be recorded as a tie. 
 

If tied in playoff game, and time is expired, will move to Texas Shoot out.  Last out will be placed on second base, batters will go to plate will full count.  No outs. 
 

No Tie-Breakers or Time Limits in Championship Game.
Game time:  Starting time is forfeit time.
Any team forfeiting in pool play will be disqualified from playoffs.
Please have teams ready to play 30 minutes before scheduled time.

Playoffs/Tie Breakers


Seeding results will be sent to team contact when Pool Play Games have been completed.
In the event that teams are tied after pool play, the following process will be followed:
1.  Head to head
2.  Fewest runs allowed
3.  Run differential
4.  Coin flip

 

Innings
9u-12u will play 6 innings; 13u-14u will play 7 inning games.


Pitching
No Pitching restrictions (Coaches Discretion) 

 

Balks
 

There will be no balk warnings for 12u-14u, 9u-11u 1 balk warning per pitcher. Fake to 3rd throw to 1st is a balk!

 

DEFENSIVE:


Each team will be allowed unlimited substitutions in the field if batting entire lineup.  Otherwise standard substitution rules apply.

 

OFFENSIVE:


You may bat nine players, your entire lineup, or anywhere in between.
Games can start and finish with a minimum of 8 players per team.  Players can be added to the end of lineup unless the 8th player has batted in the game.   If for any reason batting roster falls below 9, an out will be recorded for the 9th batter.  

 

Upon starting the game, the number of batters must remain the same for the entire game, unless for player injury.  No out recorded for injured player unless batting roster drops below 9 players.

 

Home Team
In pool play a coin flip will determine the home team.
In the Playoffs and the Championship, the higher seed will have their choice to be home or away.

 

Scorekeeping
Lineups must be provided to the opposing team’s manager.

 

Slide Rule


In the event of a close play the runner must avoid contact.  If the Umpire determines that the Player slid to intentionally make contact then he is out.  All close plays and slides are at the umpire’s discretion.

Bat Restrictions
There are no bat size restrictions for 9u-13u, 14u must use -5 or BBCOR


Protests


Judgment calls by the umpire cannot be protested, rules only.
Protest fee $100 cash.

Entry Refunds
Weather refunds as follows:
0 games played:  75% Refund
1 game played:  50% Refund
2 games played:  No Refund

 

Dugouts
Please help keep the tournament fields and common areas clean.
Please be sure to pick up all your team's trash after the game.

 

Ejections


NO WARNINGS will be given to Coaches, Players, or Fans for unsportsmanlike or unruly behavior.
Upon ejection, the Coach, Player, or Fan must completely leave the premises.  Failure to comply will result in a team forfeit.
Any Player ejected from more than one game will not be permitted on the premises for the rest of the tournament.

Age Determination


April 30th cut off.
Birth certificates must be available if requested.
 
Official Game


All games are official after the completion of the 4th inning. If a game should be called due to darkness, weather, etc. and it is the middle of an inning, then the game will revert back to the score from the previous inning. If there are ample game slots left, the game may be re-scheduled to resume!

 

Tournament Format Alterations


We reserve the right to alter, change, or abbreviate Tournament Formats and Rules, when necessary.  This includes, but not limited to, shortening times limits in order to maintain the game schedule and to ensure all games are played.


Intentional Walk


4 pitches must be thrown to the batter!

 

Baseballs


Game Balls will be provided by each team 1 new and 1 used. 

 

Courtesy Runners


Courtesy Runners for catcher only with two outs.  Must be a Player off the Bench/Player not in the Batting Order.  If you are batting your entire lineup, then you may use the LAST BATTED OUT.  No courtesy runners for pitchers.

 

Mercy Rule
12 runs after 4 innings, 10 runs after 5 innings

 

Umpires
There will be 2 umpires for all games except 9u and 10u. .

 

Pre-Game Infield/Outfield


There will be no infield practice prior to tournament games.
Hitting any type of ball into FENCES, etc. is not allowed on any part of any field.
Please hit into your own pop up net!

 

Batting Cage use is first come first serve basis but please be respectful to other teams and share!
 
***We do NOT permit players, parents, or fans to consume alcoholic beverages or smoke on the premises and we will enforce these policies at our events.***
